We create communities that keep people connected in later life. Our range of sheltered housing, care homes and independent living options enables us to cater for our residents on an individual basis and provide person-centred care and support. We help ensure our residents retain a sense of independence and choice within in a safe, warm and stimulating environment where they can feel connected to others and live life to the full.

Sheltered Housing, sometimes known as Assisted Living, offers the best of independent living whilst remaining part of a friendly and sociable shared house. Meals, on-site staff and household bills are included in the price for the majority of our houses.
Our Dementia Friendly Care Homes have been designed to help support residents living with Alzheimer’s, dementia or other forms of memory loss. Our homes offer the same high quality support you’ll find in our care homes with extra support for those living with dementia.
Our Residential Care Homes are designed for those with personal care needs requiring one-to-one support from a qualified carer. Live with the security of on-site staff who are there 24 hours a day to provide support, engaging activities and companionship.
Independent Living is designed for active, self-reliant individuals. It allows you to live completely self-sufficient with communal hubs to socialise and connect with your neighbours. At Abbeyfield we have a great selection of Independent Living apartments for older people across the UK.

Volunteer with us
We welcome volunteers of all ages and abilities with countless opportunities to suit your availability. Our volunteering roles include assisting in activities, gardening, befriending, administrative support and much more.
Our society manages 64 homes across England. We are a proud member of Abbeyfield England, the national body that brings together a larger collection of Member Societies operating over 200 homes in England and Wales.
