Modern facilities for your comfort

Our purpose-built residential and nursing care home features modern facilities designed to promote comfort and independence. Each of our 31 en-suite bedrooms is equipped with a profiling bed, dressing table, armchair, and ample wardrobe space. Many of our rooms also feature French doors, offering beautiful views of our peaceful courtyard garden.

Our dining room offers a welcoming atmosphere where residents can enjoy delicious meals tailored to their individual dietary needs and preferences. Our catering team prepares each dish with care and attention.

We have three communal lounges for residents to relax and socialise, including a large sun lounge overlooking our beautifully landscaped courtyard garden and fish pond. Our outdoor space provides a perfect setting for enjoying the outdoors without leaving the comfort of our home.

Our experienced and compassionate team will work closely with you and your family to develop a personalised care plan that addresses your specific requirements and preferences which are regularly reviewed. This ensures that you receive the highest level of care and support.

Activities and community connections

We believe in promoting a sense of community and providing stimulating activities for our residents. Our dedicated activities team offers a variety of engaging programs, including games, quizzes, bingo, and chair-based exercises. We also host regular visits from local entertainers and community groups to bring the outside world to you.

Halcyon House has strong links with the local community and partners with local volunteers and organisations. Volunteers from the local library visit our home every month, bringing books for those who enjoy reading. Additionally, a fantastic volunteer-led mobile shop visits our home weekly, providing residents with convenient access to essential items.

Our home is just a short walk from the vibrant village centre, where you'll find several pubs, restaurants, shops, and cafes. We are conveniently located near public transportation links, making it easy for residents and visitors to explore the local area. Merseyrail and local buses take you to nearby cities and towns such as Liverpool and Southport.

We are also a short distance from the stunning Formby National Trust site, offering breathtaking coastal scenery, beaches, walks, and the chance to see rare wildlife such as the elusive red squirrel. Enjoy the fresh sea air and beautiful coastal walks, or simply relax in the peaceful surroundings of our care home.
