Located amidst the breathtaking landscapes of the Upper Esk Valley, Esk Moors Lodge offers sheltered housing for older people seeking a peaceful and comfortable retirement.

A thriving community

Our friendly community provides a range of amenities to enhance later life. Our care team are onsite 24 hours a day and are always on hand to assist with your daily needs. Our dedicated volunteers work hard to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere

A convenient location

Esk Moors Lodge is well connected to nearby towns and cities. Castleton Moor train station is just a short distance away offering easy access to Whitby, Middlesborough and beyond. In the local area you'll also find two lovely village pubs, a post office and a shop.

Comfortable living with stunning views

Our 14 spacious, self-contained flats offer the perfect balance of independence and community living. Enjoy stunning countryside views from your own private balcony. Each flat has a kitchen area and bathroom, and we have a lift which provides access to all three floors of the building.

Activities and social events

Relax in our communal areas where you can enjoy a variety of activities, from arts and crafts, to themed lunches and movie nights. Residents can easily join our community outings, thanks to the Heather Hopper, our local community bus based at the house. This provides opportunities for residents to meet new people and enjoy day trips, from seaside excursions to lunches out.
